Who invited you?

I was hoping to take a nap the same time my son goes down this afternoon since I had such little sleep last night.

No can do, I have univited guests! We had someone out to spray around our house for bugs but it seems that the bugs have just taken indoors.
I have an infestation of ants. They started off in my bedroom (even crawling on me at night, I am sleeping in the guest bedroom until it gets cleared up). They are now in both my bathrooms upstairs and are now in my downstairs living room. I was sitting on the couch earlier and saw too crawling on me. I got up to see what the problem was, 45 minutes and hundreds of ants later I'm still trying to kill them and clean them up.

I've never had such a terrible ant problem (and I thought I had it bad at my last house), this is the worst I've ever seen it!

My Day

I have a mondo to do list today and I have very little energy. I was up until 3:00 this morning with terrible heartburn. Also my mind was racing because I'm mulling over a very important decision.
Nobody but my husband knows about it but once I come to a decision I'll share it here. I'm sure there are others who would be interested in reading about what I'm doing.

Even though I'm tired, I've managed to get two things accomplished from my to do list and that is giving me the motivation I need to work through the day.

TO DO

1. Dishes - Done
2. Trash - In progress
3. Dinner Prep - Done
4. Quick clean downstairs bath
5. Quick clean upstairs bath
6. Desk work and bills
7. Research
8. Contact two friends about possible weekend plans
9. Lunch/Nap
10.Fix Dinner
11.Dinner Cleanup
12.Bathtime

Tuesday To Do

You know, I was looking at my to do list from yesterday and there are several things that I left off. Things such as cleaning out the kitty litter box and sweeping off the porch just didn't make it to the list. Oh well, suffice it to say that I have a lot to do during the day and harkening back to two posts ago...I never get bored.

Last night I'd had such a full day that several things I wanted to get done just went undone. I'm trying to learn to be okay with that. I have to give myself a break sometimes. Just as long as I get to it the next day, everything works out.
I'll post my list now for today, then go back and post some pictures I took yesterday. Then it's off to quick clean the kitchen!

My hours are approx. 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Tuesday To Do:

• Morning routine
• Breakfast for me and hubby
• Baby up & breakfast
• Baby dressed
• Drop Lil’ Isaac off at the vet (the poor thing has to have two teefers removed. That makes a total of 8 teefers (that’s Pinkology speak for teeth)
• Shopping for gardening supplies (I need a hose, and weed killer)
• Desk work
• Snacktime
• Quick clean kitchen
• Fulfill orders and work on Macnider Media
• Unpack office
• Lunchtime
• Baby nap
• Continue to work on laundry and ironing
• Read
• Special baby time
• Dinner prep
• Family meal time
• Pick up Lil’ Isaac
• Dinner cleanup
• Breakfast and lunch prep
• Desk work
• Baby bath and bed
• Misc. chores not completed during day
• Shower
• Hubby time & relax

Monday To Do...

I’ll be showing you my do to list complete with pictures for my entire week. My hours are approx. 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. I took some fun pictures to post for this week.

Monday To Do:

• Morning routine
• Breakfast for me and hubby

• Baby up & breakfast
• Baby dressed

• Grocery shopping (mmmm look at all those veggies and fruits!
)
• Groceries away and tidy kitchen (normally the kitchen would already be done but I like to get my grocery shopping out of the way as early as possible. Also I normally do not shop on Monday mornings, this week is special!)
From this...

To this!

• Quick clean 1 bathroom and laundry station

• Desk work, phone calls, mail
• Lunchtime
• Dinner Prep
• Special day of prayer as I have two important people to pray for from 12 – 2 p.m. (baby napping)
• Laundry (this is usually started first thing in the morning but I simply didn't have time)

• Reading
• Baby up, tidy nursery
• Major tidy up in bedroom (only halfway done, will have to do more tomorrow, also I’ll have to iron tomorrow, I have no energy left to do it tonight)
• Snacktime
• Desk work
• Cook dinner
What on earth is she cooking?

Oh it's veal shajarjijon (That's Pinkology speak for veal parmesan)

• Family mealtime
Oh that looks so purdy!

• Dinner cleanup
But what a mess!

• Breakfast and lunch prep for tomorrow (more cooking believe it or not!)

• Fold laundry
Ok, I'm getting tired

• Desk work
• Baby to bed
• Clothes away
• Read, relax, hubby time

Now I probably won't include as many pictures during the rest of week but I will post some.

Feeling Accomplished

I am amazed at the amount of work I have to do as a stay at home wife and mother and also a small business owner.
I began my day at 7:30 a.m. yesterday by running four errands:

1. Dog to groomer
2. Return video rentals
3. Banking
4. Grocery shopping

Upon returning home I put away all groceries and spent some time with the baby.

I then straightened up the dining room and vacuumed the floors. I also swept and mopped the kitchen (this is a daunting task), did dishes and fixed lunch.

After the baby went down for a nap I worked in my office (I'm still unpacking and organizing this room and quite frankly it's a mess) and picked the dog up from the groomer.

I continued working around the house in this way until dinner time, we had an amazing meal if I do say so myself.

We had shrimp, corn and a salad. I felt like I was sitting on the back of a boat on the Chesapeake Bay with that meal.

Once I got the baby to bed and cleaned up the kitchen it was around 9 p.m. I then continued working in my office until 2 a.m.

Whew! Today I'm tired but I feel like I was able to get a good deal accomplished. I'm sure that today and tomorrow are going to be just as busy. I'm very much behind and I've got to get control of my schedule.

I think I'm having company next weekend and this house is in no shape to entertain!

Looking for gifts?

I just started a shop over at Cafe Press and I'm now selling a few products featuring my husband's beautiful photography.

I have a journal, postcards, greeting cards and mousepads.
I hope to grow this shop over time as we add more photography and designs.

Take a look!
