I've been awake since 4:30 a.m. I cannot sleep. I am way too excited about the little boy who will be visiting my house today.
We found out a couple of days ago that we can pick him up on Tuesday and bring him home for good!

My family has asked that I keep a blog going to document family news (Jeremiah news that is) and so I haven't decided if this blog will serve that purpose or if I should make a new one dedicated just to our kids. I'll think about it.
For now this space will do just fine.

I am on my way this morning to meet my son for the first time.
I'm excited, nervous, I don't know what to say or think. I'm taking a little stuffed giraffe to give to him. We'll be taking pictures and videotaping the event as well (as if I'm not nervous enough - let's add cameras!)

Nursery

So we have some news that we very possibly may be able to adopt a 10 month old baby boy. The social worker interviewed us on Friday (my last day of work) and she brought along a few pictures of the baby. She let us keep one of the pictures and it's up on our fridge. We just adore his name (I don't want to reveal it here yet) and we'll just add on to it.
There is a medical problem and they are running tests on him.
My husband and I are both ready though and I feel strongly that this child will be our first born son.
